Based on factual data
Distimo Report uses two datasets as input for the reports:
- Publicly available information collected from each application store, that gives insight into all available applications.
- Transactional data collected using Distimo Monitor, that enables us to report on aggregated absolute market figures.
Information is reliable, factual and timely, because all data used in our reports is collected directly from the source.
Representative
Distimo Monitor tracks transactional information for a selection of applications. This sample may be biased however, just like any panel from which data is collected. Publicly available information is used to normalize the dataset to insure that Distimo Reports are representative. Using sophisticated and proprietary algorithms, Distimo extracts valuable information that is used by worldwide leading handset manufacturers, operators and developers to make well-founded decisions regarding mobile content and strategy.
