Report Delivery
Each individual paid featured report consists of a presentation in PDF format and an Excel file containing all data. The Excel files contain data for February 2012.
The PDF presentations include four slides that contain in-depth analyses of the data provided. Additionally, the ten most popular free and paid applications are provided for each application store, laid out over two slides for each individual store.
The Excel reports provide a significant dataset that can be used for further analysis, including the increase in download volumes resulting from being featured, information on the 300 most popular free and 300 most popular paid applications, and pricing levels for every category and store. Finally, the Excel reports provide data on the download volumes and business models used by the top grossing applications in the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Methodology
Distimo tracks both publicly as well as transactional data for supported application stores and countries. Data tracked includes, but is not limited to: application and publisher names, application prices, popularity and grossing ranks, releases, updates and ratings.
Besides tracking publicly available data, Distimo uses transactional data in an aggregated manner, collected from a wide variety of publishers using Distimo Monitor.
